Plumbing and heating together

One plumbing company for the water and the heat

Wright Flow Plumbing and Heating is based in Edgewood, in the East Mountains east of Albuquerque. We do residential and commercial work, and we run both trades out of one company. The same company that clears your drain handles boiler repair and no heat calls in January.

A lot of our work is repeat work. Landlords, property managers and real estate investors call us about the rentals they run. We set up preventative maintenance plans so drains and water heaters get looked at on a schedule. We also take emergency calls day and night, which matters when a tenant has no water on a Sunday.

The work runs from a dripping shower valve to a broken sewer lateral or a new septic system. We are based in Edgewood at about 6,700 feet and work about 70 miles out from there. Almost every home in the East Mountains is on septic, and the freeze season up here is long. The weather service counts about 210 days between freezes at the Albuquerque airport and about 144 out at Moriarty.

Of all the plumbers I called for help, this is the only company that could fit me in same day. David came out within an hour of me calling and fixed the issue. He stayed on it until it was done, and I am so grateful that he was there when I needed help the most. He didn't charge an arm and leg, which was so appreciated in my situation. I will definitely be calling him in the future.

David did a great job. He knew that we were anxiously waiting for a line to be run and he worked well into the night to get it done. We were so thankful and highly recommend him.

Dave is amazing, he always fits me in when I have an emergency. He's a pleasure to talk to and very knowledgable. He happily worked until 3 am firing a major sewer blockage, I like that he's always in a good mood. Definitely the guy to call!

Frequently Asked Questions

Questions About Plumbing, Heating and Septic?

The questions homeowners, landlords and property managers across the Albuquerque metro ask us most. If yours is not here, call and we will answer it.

Call (505) 306-8285

How do you price plumbing work?
Price depends on what is broken, how hard it is to reach and what parts it takes. A water heater in a tight closet takes longer than one sitting in a garage. We look at the job first and put the estimate in writing before any work starts. The estimate is free.
Do you take emergency calls?
Yes, we take emergency calls at any hour for burst pipes, sewer backups, water heater failures and no water. Call (505) 306-8285 and tell us what is happening and where. We will get you scheduled as fast as we can. Our emergency plumbing page covers what to shut off before we get there.
Do you work on commercial buildings as well as homes?
Yes. Roughly a quarter of what we do is commercial: small offices, shops, restaurants and rental buildings. The rest is houses, including manufactured and mobile homes. Commercial jobs run the same way, and the estimate goes in writing first.
What areas do you serve?
We are based in Edgewood and work about 70 miles around it. That takes in Albuquerque, Rio Rancho, Corrales, Bernalillo, Placitas and Los Lunas. Closer to home we work Tijeras, Cedar Crest, Sandia Park and Moriarty. If you are not sure you are in range, call (505) 306-8285 and ask.
Do you install septic systems?
Yes, we install new septic systems, replace failed ones, and repair tanks, lines and leach fields. Most new installs go in on new builds and lots out in the East Mountains. We do not pump tanks; a pumping company handles that. The New Mexico Environment Department issues the permit in most of our area, and we work that paperwork with you.
What heating work do you do?
We work on boilers, hydronic baseboard and radiant floor heat, water heaters and ductless mini splits. That means no heat calls, annual service, repairs and replacement. We do not work on forced air furnaces or central air conditioning. Mini splits heat and cool, so one unit covers both in a room or an addition.
Should I get a tank or a tankless water heater?
It depends on the house, and a tank is the simpler swap. A tankless water heater takes less space and heats water as you use it. It usually needs a bigger gas line and new venting. Albuquerque water runs moderately hard to hard, so either one wants a flush or a descale on a schedule.
Do you work with landlords and property managers?
Yes, and a lot of our steady work comes from them. We take service calls on rentals and set up preventative maintenance plans. That way drains, water heaters and boilers get checked before they fail. Tell us which property it is and what is happening, and we will get it scheduled.
